Fun Stuff

I have been working on learning several different game engines and that has been a blast.  Unity and UDK are great fun.  I am also looking for some free isometric  engines and have found a really cool fghting engine called MUGEN.

Lots of the old street fighter type games were made with this MUGEN engine and there are thousands of characters and environments to download.   I am planning on trying to add this sort of engine into the course as I go for the game art graduates to sink their teeth into as many types of games and engines as possible during the two academic years.

I found the link for the MUGEN engine here:

Hi Martin,
No news from the CGF front. Just to be frank, I haven’t been as involved with the group as I was previously. My role turned out to be less than I had previously envisioned, so I have much less involvment than I would like.

I am sure when the time is right, they will announce what is going on. They just want to make sure they do it properly and get everything right the first go round.

Wish them the best, be patient with them as they work through all the challenges of getting funding.
